Industrial Skills EventThe Industrial Skills Event (ISE) is a platform for members to understand and familiarize themselves with various fields of pharmaceutical industry. ISE aims to develop participants’ insights and professional knowledge related to the pharmaceutical industry, improve the teamwork and problem-solving skills of participants. In this team-based competition, each team has to analyze and come up with a solution for the realistic industrial cases which they have to present in front of the judges.
The pharmaceutical industry discovers, develops, produces, and markets medications with the aim to cure, vaccinate or alleviate symptoms. Several fields in the pharmaceutical industry are marketing, sales, research and development, quality, pharmacovigilance, production, and market access.
Clinical Skills EventThe Clinical Skills Event (CSE) provides educational opportunities for members to demonstrate and enhance their clinical pharmaceutical knowledge. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of the importance of the pharmacist’s role in direct patient care. Individuals and teams compete in a friendly environment by demonstrating their skills in assessing patient information and current therapy, identifying and prioritizing drug therapy problems, identifying treatment goals, and recommending a pharmaceutical care plan.
Patient Counseling EventThe Patient Counselling Event (PCE) aims to demonstrate the importance of pharmacy counselling skills, increase awareness of pharmacists as public educators, and contribute to the development of communication skills of future and recent pharmacists.
As part of an ongoing initiative to further recognize the significant role pharmacists play in their communities, IPSF holds the PCE yearly at World Congress and Regional Symposia. The main goal of this event is to provide our members with the opportunity to refine and showcase their counselling skills in a friendly competitive environment. PCE also provides participants with a platform to improve their competencies in one of the core responsibilities of pharmacists.
